Faery Houses & Bed Races

Doin' Time in Southern Vermont this weekend to present two shows for the Bennington Pride Coalition. Friends Sadelle & Ann have hosted me in style with AMAZING vegan food.

Today I had most of the day to explore the area. I desperately felt a servere nature deficit disorder, so I got my butt into the woods for a hike where I hugged a tree and sniffed around in the dirt, theen I built a faery house. Just looking out for my own.

After the hike I stumbled onto the Fourth Annual Bed Race, a fundraiser for a local group that helps people currently without homes. There I bumped into two students from the Glow Up GSA and a straight ally mom, Louise. Bed Races in Vermont!! And some think all the fun stuff happens in New York and London.

After buying comestic supplies at the Rite Aid, I popped into the Victory Christian Bookstore to ask, "What resources do you have for gay Christians?" The woman behind the counter smiled, consulted a co-worker then replid, "Sorry we don't have anything." Okay, so I'm subversive, what's new.

You can click on the photos to enlarge.

College boys in dresses...I need to move to Vermont.

"Sorry, we don't have anything."

Yay for subversion!

(Why can you post a blog? Blogger's being assy with me. :( )

I can post because I am filled with the love of Marvin, um Jesus.

You cannot post a blog because Marvin is not praying nearly enough for you, but then his is a bit pissy these days, so I imagine that disrupts his prayer life.

Sometimes the simple things are the most subversive.

I really like that idea of asking that in Christian book stores...I'm thinking I'll start doing that whenever I'm near one...

I think I might hit up the Lifeway store near here just to ask that.

Wearing a pride shirt. With my cross necklace.

Damn, P, if this becomes some kinda flashmob movement thing we're blaming you, you know. :)

Glad the Freezees are going down well. It's nice to hear that confirmation now and then that I'm not just some idiot drawing pictures that nobody else cares about. Especially when I'm having a bout of hormonally induced, soul-crushing self-doubt.

You guys have no idea how lucky you are! You think shaving is trouble? Try turning into a raving lunatic every month like some kind of deranged emo werewolf! *points angry finger at every man in the world* (I have many fingers...)

Just some idiot drawing pictures... maybe that should be my new tagline. I kinda like it.

Really enjoyed your shows. Thanks for bringing your talent to Bennington. It was great to run into you at the bed race. The pictures are awesome. I'm sure we'll run into you again sometime when my sister can get to one of your shows.
